Sazón de Laura, Petrohué: First, the boat. Then, the table. You’ve arrived atSazón de Laura.
Home-style Chilean cooking in Petrohué, facing the Osorno volcano. Free boat crossing, there and back.
Home-style Chilean cooking with fresh produce, on the shores of Lake Todos los Santos. First the boat; then, the table.
This is the view waiting at your table
We’re in Petrohué, across the lake. We cook Chilean food with fresh, homemade ingredients: wild boar, salmon, trout, pot roast and, for dessert, the dessert of the day.
There’s wine, craft draught beer and pisco sour. And if the day turns grey, even better: the kuchen of the day with a hot cup of tea, watching the rain fall on the lake.
We’re pet friendly.

“…it all starts with a boat crossing with don Fernando (a big hug to him), and then the team welcomes you and takes your order. I recommend the wild boar and the spicy potatoes with a draught beer…”

The restaurant is lovely and the view is spectacular, and even though we had a very rainy day, it made the experience even better: you can hear the rain pounding and it looks beautiful from inside…”

Getting here
Step 1: To Petrohué. Take Route 225 from Puerto Varas all the way to the Port of Petrohué, where the road ends.
Step 2: The boat. On the shore, look for the San Lorenzo boat: it takes you across to the other side for free.
Step 3: The way back. Whenever you want to head back, just say so and they’ll take you across again.
